Description: - An antique Victorian 18 carat yellow gold albert watch chain, and T-bar; Birmingham, 1884. This watch chain may be worn with a pocket watch, or may also be worn as a necklace if so desired.

Measurement: - The watch chain measures approximately 15 1/8 inches (38.4cm) end to end. The chain links are 0.5cm wide.

Weight: - 48.5 grams.

Condition: - The albert chain is in good antique condition. The chain is stamped with a crown and '18' on each of the links, dog clip, and T-bar. The end link that would hold a fob is stamped '18'. One link is hallmarked with the Birmingham assay stamp, and date letter 'k' to denote 1884. The links display minor surface scratches, and wear commensurate with age. The dog clip, and T-bar are all original to the piece and are stamped with the makers mark 'J.M'. Please see photographs for confirmation of condition.
